- Coconut: It has a high protein and fatty acid content. Proteins act on the hair, protecting it from external aggressions, repairing it, conditioning it, increasing its elasticity by forming a film and reducing its risk of breakage. Low molecular weight proteins have the ability to penetrate to the cortex of hair fibers, which makes them ideal for repairing, strengthening and protecting hair fibers from within. High molecular weight proteins form a protective film and soften the hair. The acidic coconut oil, composed of lauric acid triglycerides, has an affinity with hair proteins and due to its low molecular weight and gray-gray structure, it is capable of penetrating to the deepest layers of hair fibers.
